The 70-ton class is the busiest size in a Phoenix crane fleet, and there is a reason. It carries enough capacity for most structural and mechanical work on a commercial job, and it is still compact enough to get into a site that is halfway through construction and full of stacked material.
The rating is measured at the crane's shortest radius, so the number that decides your job is what the chart gives at the reach you actually need. A load that is easy at 30 feet can be out of range at 80. Tell us the weight and the radius and the answer stops being a guess.
Typical work: precast and tilt-up panels, structural steel, rooftop mechanical units, tanks, and equipment sets on ground that has not been paved. If the pick turns out to want more crane, the 80-ton is on the same lot, and if it wants less, so is the 50-ton.
What we can confirm about the units in our yard. Boom length, jib and the load chart come with the quote.
More than one RT870 in the fleet, which is the difference between "we can hold that date" and "call around". Give us the date early either way.

Operated crane work bills against an hourly minimum, portal to portal. The clock runs from our yard and back rather than only while the crane sits on your pad, which is standard for operated service and is the number people forget to compare when they shop a rate.
A rigger or signal person is added per man when the pick calls for one. There is no fuel surcharge and no counterweight fee. Larger jobs are quoted as clean separate lines so mobilization, setup and crane time are each visible instead of rolled into one figure you cannot check.
Yes. With your own certified operator, the same crane goes out bare and we still deliver it on our own lowboy. You cover the operator, the rigging and the lift plan.
Operated is the more common choice because certification, rigging gear and the lift plan are the parts that are slow to arrange per job, not because bare is discouraged. Same crane, same yard, same haul either way.
We quote per job rather than publishing a rate. These are the variables that actually move the number, so you can check any quote you receive, ours included.

This class does most of its work inside metro Phoenix, where the move is short and same day is often possible. We run it statewide across Arizona for larger jobs, and out of state when the project justifies the move.

If the crane you were counting on goes down mid-pour, mid-set or mid-schedule, we run a replacement out of whatever is available in the yard rather than telling you to move the date. Dispatch starts at 4:30am, six days a week, and emergency work goes to the front of the queue.
